Location: Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers Florida on Hole #10

While family vacationing in Fort Myers this week my hubby was bass fishing one morning in the pond behind my parent's house at Colonial Country Club on hole #10 and just when he thought his line was snagged he felt a hard tug and realized it was a 4 foot alligator!!! It was about a 45 minute struggle to get it on shore so he could try and release the hook and set it free and once it was on shore it ended up wrestling itself free....our 2 children aged 6 and 3 got a big kick out of the whole event and now he owes my mom a new pool net which the alligator chomped and chewed!!! Just when we thought Bass Fishing couldn't get any better......

that was great video I live in South Florida. best not to give the location of the pond and your parents house as kids that might want to catch gators will show up (Colonial Country Club ) no need for that

Glad you were gentle with him and attempted to get the hook off of him. If you ever watch animal planet and the pest controllers, reptiles like this are as plentiful as ever....not sure anyone is going to come to your house to catch him.
