This was an unbelieveable day on the water. While i was out fishing off Boca Grande Florida all of a sudden a saw a huge shadow come up from behind the boat . I had just hooked the bonita and was having fun reeling that fish up when out of the corner of my eye I saw this better than 10 foot long hammerhead shark come up under my hooked Bonita as if to say " That looks like a nice appetizer" Within a few seconds the poor Bonita did not have a chance to out run such an enormous creature. I shot some fantastic photos of the entire event that day this is one I am sharing with you all now. I even hooked the huge hammerhead for a split second and talk about adrenalin levels rising. Of course the rod and reel were hardly rigged to mess with a 10 foot hammerhead but it sure was a thrill for those few seconds I had the hammerhead hooked as he ate the Bonita. I still think about that day on the water often . It was a once and a lifetime site.
