Attendees of the Kilbourn Associates Annual Client Appreciation Luncheon on February 8, 2008, were treated to an enlightening presentation and analysis on the differences between Islam and Christianity by Dr. Paul Maier, Professor of Ancient History at Western Michigan University.

Dr. Maier is a world-renowned expert on ancient manuscripts and has published nearly 20 books including DaVinci Code: Fact or Fiction?, The Very First Easter, Pontius Pilate, Josephus, and many others detailing the history of religion. His upcoming book will delve into the Islamic religion and provide immeasurable insight into the world's largest religion and its followers.

Event host Craig VanderMolen of LVM Capital Management said, "Dr. Maier is an engaging figure in the world of religious analysis. His insight into the stories that appear in both the Bible and Koran provided our clients with an understanding of what motivates current actions in the Middle East. As we move closer to choosing a new leader, we wanted to make sure our clients had an opportunity to understand the underlying religious issues that our nation will face."

Dr. Maier explained the historical nature of the Suni and Shiite and how each sect works. His presentation ended with a call for Christian unification, stressing that the radical islamic faction will continue its path of terror regardless of our presence and objectives in the Middle East.
