Today at Port Charlotte Golf Course, the 29th annaul Powder Puff Classic Pro AM was held. Tomorrow and Sunday, the ladies only play. This is the biggest and longest running golf tournament for amateur women in the area. The Pro AM Friday featured 33 golf pros from area clubs joining a 3 lady team. The format is the best two balls of the foursome with handicap.

year George was busy on tour but many of the areas best pros were present.
Saturday and Sunday is the 36 hole tournament. This year we have 162 gals participating. There is a Championship flight playing for low gross and net
and the remaining field plays a stableford system.
In the early days (70s and 80s) Nancy Lopez, Patty Berg and Pat Bradley graced our fairways.
All proceeds go to Tidewell Hospice.
