Faith Build 2008 - Ready, Set, Build!

Charlotte County Habitat Wall-Raising, Spring 2007

Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity Faith Build 2008 is ready to begin - the excitement is building (pun, intended), as the date has been set, and many local churches have stepped forward to participate.

Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 8:00 am, the walls will be raised on the Faith Build Home. The site is located on Whiting Lane, in Port Charlotte - it's currently the only vacant lot on that street, and it can be found in the Easy Street area, where much revitalization is taking place.

All are invited to the Wall-Raising Ceremonies on Saturday, Feb 16th at 8 am. Please come - we promise you'll be inspired!

Currently volunteers from eleven local churches are donating time and funds, to build this house for a family in need, here in the community. As Chrissy Bynum, the Habitat Faith Relations Coordinator states: “To see so many believers, from so many different backgrounds, working together to help a family in need, is really Christian faith, in action.” Many more volunteers and donations are needed - no amount of time or money you can give is too small - please consider making this your local mission project for 2008! There will be several build days scheduled over the next few months.
You may contact Chrissy Bynum, the Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity Faith Relations/Volunteer Coordinator at (941)639-3162 or email her at volunteers@charlottecountyhfh.org
