Ana weakens, Tropical Storm Bill could strengthen

By WINK News

MIAMI, Fla. - Ana was downgraded to a Tropical Depression on Sunday evening, even as Tropical Storm Warnings remained in effect for the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The National Hurricane Center says Ana is expected to produce rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches over the Leeward Islands, including Puerto Rico, and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.

Meantime, forecasters say Tropical Storm Bill continues to intensify, and could strengthen into a hurricane late Sunday or Monday.
