Vanessa Ruffes joined the WINK News team in May 2011 and is loving her
time in Southwest Florida. During the week, you can catch her out in
the field, reporting for WINK News Now This Morning.

Vanessa is glad to be back in the Sunshine State. She was born in
Tallahassee, and spent part of her childhood in the Tampa area before
moving to Atlanta. She completed most of her schooling in the Peach
State, graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in
journalism and a minor in Spanish.

Before coming to WINK, Vanessa spent 2 years at WMAZ, the CBS
affiliate in Macon, Georgia. Some of her favorite stories there came
from coverage of the Air Force base in the area.

When she's not reporting, Vanessa is most likely cooking and eating,
catching some rays, or having fun with her rescue pup Mojo.
