Dozens of athletes around Southwest Florida will be signing letters of intent to the school of their choice today. The first Wednesday of February is always National Signing Day and it marks the first day high school senior athletes can sign with college teams.
Dunbar High School in Fort Myers has the most signees today with five football players signing at Noon. Cape Coral High fielded the top football team in Lee and Collier Counties last fall and will have the highest profile players signing today. Daniel Koenig is going to Oklahoma State, Jeremy Davis joins the Hurricanes in Miami. Jaylen Watkins has already enrolled at Florida and Spencer Boyd has already enrolled at Notre Dame. Boyd will be unable to attend.
