Here is the latest Florida sports from The AP:
MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Dolphins are winning the old-fashioned way. The single wing helped build a lead, and a goal-line stand preserved it. Miami pulled off its second successive upset by beating San Diego 17-10 yesterday.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Big Ben's big night gave the Pittsburgh Steelers a big boost in the AFC North. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Steelers overcome their offensive woes and leading them to a 26-21 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last night.
CHICAGO (AP) - Thanks to John Danks and the White Sox, Chicago still has one team standing. Danks pitched another big game to save the season and well-traveled DeWayne Wise delivered a two-run double as the White Sox beat Tampa Bay 5-3 yesterday, trimming the Rays' lead in their AL playoff series to 2-1.
DENVER (AP) - The high-flying Broncos finally discovered a defense, generating a pass rush that sent Brian Griese to the sideline with an injured throwing shoulder and yet another bad memory of Denver. Jay Cutler guided a patient Denver offense to a 16-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
