Reports: A-Rod's wife to file for divorce

MIAMI (AP) - It appears New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez has struck out at marriage.

The Web sites of The Miami Herald and a Houston TV station say Cynthia Rodriguez will file for divorce Monday, alleging extramarital affairs by her husband. The papers are expected to be filed in Miami.

A lawyer who says he's been hired by Cynthia Rodriguez told the station that a relationship between her husband and Madonna was the final straw. In a statement posted online, Madonna denies any romantic involvement with Rodriguez. Rodriguez has refused to comment on Madonna.

Alex and Cynthia Rodriguez were married in 2002 and have two daughters. Another of Cynthia Rodriguez's lawyers told the Herald that his client feels she's "exhausted every opportunity to salvage the marriage."
