AMESTETTEN, Austria - It's a story that will disturb you.
An Austrian father holds his daughter prisoner in the basement for 24 years.
Abusing her.. and having children with her.
Now, there's new information about her ordeal.
A teen was held captive by her father for more than two decades. She was also forced to have seven of his children.
Police say the father, who is now 73 years-old has confessed to the imprisonment and the abuse of his daughter. He even stated he tossed one dead baby into the building's furnace.
The girl held captive in the basement is named Elizabeth. She is now 42 and had been missing since 1984.
Police say the case broke after one of the children, was rushed to the hospital unconscious.
The man's wife cared for three of the children who were registered with authorities and also attended school. She told police she had no idea that this was happening.
The other 3 children remained locked in the basement with their mother Elizabeth. The kids are now in state care.

In one news article the reporter stated that women were found bound, gagged & dead not far from a campground the "Mother" had owned years ago- and that other "unsolved" murders matching that description were found around other places the "couple" had owned. I wonder if they'll find that not only is he a kidnapping, incestial, molesting, pedophillic monster- but a serial killer as well?

The mother could not get out. Imagine being locked into a building, even when the sole provider did not come to visit for four weeks when he was on vacation! I would never want a locked door again!

we can't put the blame totally on the mother...the room was sound proof..it was her own father, and its not like he'd be very forgiving to her if she tried to escape or tried to force her way out. I mean cut her some slack! She couldn't just leave her other kids to get the authorities! What do you all think that he would've done if he came down and found her gone? I think that he would've harmed the others. It would indeed feel like a hopeless situation to be in so why try to escape?

This man, not a father, should be put in jail for the remainer of his life. Letting the men in jail deal with a person like him that treats a child like he did. I would like to know what the mother was thinking about the children she was taking care of. Does she not care about her own child? This women has something to blame as well. The man needs to be brought to account for what he has done and his age is no excuse, life inpresionment is not good enough.

how do you not iknow as the mother I feel so bad for this woman who has been forced to deal with all the abuse from her father and her poor children this world is not fair and I hope he gets teh death sentence for ruing so many lives
