Motorcyclist crashes into car

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - A serious accident in Charlotte County sent one man to the hospital Saturday night with critical injuries. It happened around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of King's Highway and Harborview Road. A man riding a motorcycle slammed into the right rear passenger side of a car.

We're told one of the drivers was running a red light, but it hasn’t been confirmed whether it was the motorcyclist or the car. The man on the motorcycle was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the impact.
