New Developments In 1999 Disappearance of Pilar Rodriquez

By WINK News

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Authorities are searching an eight acre area of Dunkin Road and Highway 17 in Port Charlotte for a Hollywood, FL girl who went missing in 1999.

In 1999, Rodriquez went missing while visiting the area with her babysitter, Melissa Copper. She has not been seen since.

Deputies said Copper said her boyfriend beat the little girl and may have hid her body.

Deputies said the boyfriend, Kieth Wilson, knew people who lived in the area, but don't live there anymore.

Wilson was the main suspect in the girls disappearance, but has not been arrested. He lives in Kentucky now.

Both of Pilar Rodriquez' parents live in Hollywood, FL.
