Food stamp use jumps in SWFL

Food stamp use jumps by large amount in SWFL

By Mike Walcher, WINK News

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - It's a busy day for users of food stamps at the Save A Lot grocery in North Fort Myers. It's the first of the month, and clerk Courtney Daniels says, "It's crazy. it's really busy in here."

Rebecca Webber, a disabled mother, told WINK News she needs the stamps to feed her four children, ever since her husband died last year. "I think it's kinda bad criticize them because you know sometime when people need them, it still buys food, and people can eat" Webber said.
