UPDATE: Thousands still without power

FPL Outages By County:
Collier: 7,200
DeSoto: 10
Hendry: 900
Highlands: 500
Lee: 2,200

LCEC customers: All restored



TUESDAY NIGHT STORY:

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - Thousand of people all over Southwest Florida are still without power Tuesday night. One of the hardest hit areas is Collier County. There, about 15,000 homes are still without power.

Some people say they lost power around 1:00am - 2:00am and are preparing to be without power for almost 24 hours.

LCEC and FPL say they have crews working to repair the damaged lines.

Here's a breakdown of the power outages around 10:00pm Tuesday night:

FPL Outages By County:
Charlotte: 100
Collier: 12,400
Desoto: 20
Hendry: 3,300
Lee: 4,200

LCEC:
2,500 (a large portion of the remaining outages are in Immokalee)

Glades Elec. Coop is our provider. We were without power Tue. from 9-10am and then again from 12:30-9pm. We have returned to our normal schedules today (work, school) but have plenty of clean up when the water recedes.
