BISHOP VEROT HIGH SCHOOL WILL BE OPEN WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20, ON A REGULAR WEDNESDAY LATE START

Edison College will resume normal operations on Wednesday, August 20, barring unforeseen circumstances. Should further updates be required, information will be posted to the College's web site at www.edison.edu. If the site is not accessible due to power outages or for other reasons, please go to http://emergency.edison.edu to access the information. Voice updates, as needed, will also be available by calling 1 800 749-2322.

The FGCU campus is expected to reopen for regular operations Wednesday, August 20 at 8 a.m. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to check the FGCU Website at www.fgcu.edu for updates and to confirm the reopening schedule. FGCU's main telephone number, (239) 590-1000 will also provide recorded updated information.

Sanibel, Florida Sanibel Post Office Information
The Sanibel Post office is scheduled to re-open on Wednesday, August 20, at regular business hours.

UPDATE: SOLID WASTE COLLECTION
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Residential and commercial trash and horticultural collection will resume on August 20, 2008. All trash service will be delayed one (1) day. Trash normally picked up on Tuesday, August 19th, will be picked up on Wednesday, August 20th, trash normally picked up on Thursday, August 21st, will be picked up on Friday, August 22nd, and trash normally picked up on Friday, August 22nd, will be picked up on Saturday, August 23rd. The Solid Waste and Utility Billing offices will reopen on Wednesday, August 20th.

CAPE CORAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Chamber Welcome Center will re-open Wednesday, August 20th at 9am.

Collier County Government Office Closings

NAPLES CITY HALL IS OPEN, HOWEVER, THERE WILL BE NO VOTING AT CITY HALL

- The Supervisor of Elections office is open. Early voting will resume on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at all seven (7) locations.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Due to anticipated tropical storm force winds associated with Tropical Storm Fay, there will be no trash, recycling, bulky item, or yard waste collection on Tuesday, August 19, in the unincorporated areas of Collier County, serviced by Waste Management Inc. of Florida, or Choice Environmental (formerly Immokalee Disposal), nor in the City of Marco Island or Everglades City. Residents are advised to secure their trash and recycling carts to prevent them from being blown around by storm winds.
