Funeral & visitation arrangements for Officer Widman

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Fort Myers Police Department is telling WINK News, visitation for Officer Andrew Widman will be held on Tuesday and the funeral will be Wednesday. A family-only reception will be held following the funeral.

I did not know officer Widman or his family, but I know personally what this family is going through, I was 5 when my father an Omaha Police Officer was killed in the line of duty. For the kids, just remember your dad loved you and he did what he did because he wanted you to live in a safer world. Hold your heads up high and never forget that he made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. Be proud,and cry when you feel like crying, it helps. God Bless Mrs. Widman and her children.

I didn't know officer Widman. This story has touched me greatly, as I'm sure it has many of you. I drove to walmart this morning to give the $15.00 I had in my wallet. To my surprise, I was there several minutes, and saw no one give but myself. This man gave his life for our safety. Please help out his family. $100,000. is only about three years pay for him. His three babys, and wife need our help. don't think someone else will do it . If you can only give two dollars then do it, and do it Today
