Help solve fatal shooting

By Nick Spinetto, WINK News

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Two of the five most wanted have been caught. Right now police are searching for the other three men.

Police are asking for your help. Anyone with information is asked to call them, but police say they have been hitting a wall. No one wants to come forward.

We at WINK News have been out in the neighborhood for the past few days and no one will talk to us either. Our website has been getting lots of comments about what's happening in the East Fort Myers area. We still have questions. We want to know what the pulse is like in the neighborhood. Are people scared to drive around? Would you like more police presence? What can the city to do keep you safe in your home?

We're inviting you to continue posting your thoughts or concerns about what's happening in the area. You can do that below.

If anyone would like to speak on camera, you can call our news desk, 239-344-5000. Ask for Nick Spinetto. Thanks.

Ok so you were upset about what the person said about your neighbor hood. That's fine, but don't put down other neighborhoods to make yours look better. What I 'm saying is we all have to pull together to get these young men to understand the pain they're causing!! So if you were upset about her comment address her, don't put others down!! That was my cousins, and it was in my neighborhood, and I don't think you were thinking before you spoke!! So it's not about ppl reading what I had to say.

I LIVE IN PINE MANOR AND HAVE BEEN THERE FOR ALMOST 13 YEARS. NO IT'S NOT A GATED COMMUNITY AND YES THERE ARE DRUG DEALERS AND PROSTITUTES IN THE AREA, BUT I'VE NEVER HAD TROUBLE WHERE I LIVE. WE DON'T HAVE DRIVE BY SHOOTINGS OR UNCONTROLLED BLOCK PARTIES THAT RESULT IN DEATHS. JUST LIKE RESIDENTS OF HARLEM LAKE AND WHITE HEAD CREEK, MOST PINE MANOR RESIDENTS ARE TAX PAYING, HONEST CITIZENS, NOT CRIMINALS.

I feel that tis has gone to far. how many more of us have to die before this is over!! I hate that our kids have to go through life like this wondering who's next and why do they have to stay inside. No not all the areas are bad but a few "bad apples" can make the neighborhood go down. What I want is for our kids to stop trying to take the law in thier own hands and tell what they know. It does'nt matter what thier peers think. By taking another life only makes things worse! Please someone talk.

I personally think the police dept is doing a great job. It's the bleeding heart citizens and the judges who are turning the thugs back on the street, with bonds. Once arrested keep them off the street. Look at the criminal history of the young men they are looking for now in relationship to recent murders. I'm just tired of the NAACP always looking for something negative to say about the police dept of the city. My hat is off to Chief Hilton Daniels, and his staff. GOOD JOB!

This neighborhood is not as bad as its reputation. I have owned a home here for two years. I work out in the yard often and go running in the mornings and evenings. I am not "scared" to go outside though admittingly there are a few "scary" individuals around. The problem is not police presence (I see them often), what is wrong is city leaders not investing in the neighboorhoods (can we get some trash clean-up?)and citizens not caring enough to take personal responsbility for the neighborhood.

THIS IS A PROBLEM EVERY WHERE NOT JUST HERE IN FORT MYERS BUT WE AS A COMMUNTIY NEED TO PULL TOGETHER FOR THE YOUNGER KIDS TO DIRECT THEIR ATTENTION AWAY FROM ALL THE VIOLENCE SO THAT THEY DON'T FEEL THIS IS THE WAY THE HAVE TO LIVE THEIR LIFE TO ALL THE PARENTS GET INVOLVED IN YOUR KIDS LIFE AND BECOME ROLE MODELS FOR THEM ITS STARTS AT HOME!!! GIVE YOUR KIDS A POSITVE OUT LOOK ON LIFE!!

Where is the president of the NAACP? This is the appropriate time for him to counter act his protesting of the Fort Myers Police Dept by joining hands with the police dept,to come up with a possible solution to all the violence and drug dealing in the Dunbar community. Who do we call in the mist of all the mayhem and murder being committed in Dunbar? Who do we call when young black men have so little regard for their lives, the lives of others, even little children? I know FT MYERS POLICE DEPT

We need more cops...bottom line! Community leaders need to step up and be true leaders and help find these bad guys. Real leaders don't hide from criminals.

I am 30 yrs old and have always known Dunbar as a bad part of town. Pine Manor is worse, but I strongly believe, until you get a person in the community with a "good head" on their shoulders, you will always have these problems. A massive amount of drugs, hate crimes and drive by's. Don't be scared to call something in. It is YOUR neighborhood you're trying to protect. Protect your children. Unfortunately you can't protect them enough inside your own car.

what they need to do is have more cops in this neighborhood please

This is unbeliveble no one can even go outside why beacuse we are so scared that we could get shot.It should'nt be this way, I thought it was a free country we should'nt have to worry about this. This world is ending as I see it that way every day somebody is dying over drugs, drive by's, and just to do it. I think we should have polices everywhere just tokeep it safe for our little ones....

Where's our president of the NAACP. About a past month handing out fliers protesting Ft Myers Police Dept. and the bad cops. What about all the bad thugs with guns in Dunbar that are shooting up 5 year old kids. This is the time that NAACP President should step up to the plate and do his job in the Dunbar area.
