Fort Myers shootings may be connected

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Fort Myers Police Department has released a list of its top five "Most Wanted". Investigators believe the five suspects have information on several recent shootings in East Fort Myers.
Police tell us it's possible at least three shootings in the last ten days are connected.
A relative of two of Fort Myers shooting victims didn't want to to go on camera out of fear, but he told us off camera, "Innocent people are getting killed for no reason. They just need to stop the violence."
The shootings started more than a week ago at Club Ricochet where one person was injured.
Then on Tuesday, Torry Chrisp collapsed and died in the Whitehead Creek area after witnesses say he tried to run from at least three gunmen. Romen Gordan suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
And finally, Sunday night, Willie Fletcher was shot in the area of Barker Boulevard while walking home from a street party. It's the same shooting where the five year old, an innocent bystander, was struck by a bullet while riding in a car. Tampa General Hospital representative tell WINK News the child was last listed in fair condition.
Police tell us they know there are witnesses and now they're asking people to come forward with what they know.
"At some point you're going to have to take the extra step and if you need a reason, a five year old little boy could be a very good reason to take the extra step," said Major Doug Baker with the Fort Myers Police Department.
Investigators are asking for your help in finding their top five most wanted. They not only have warrants out for their arrest, police believe they may know something about the recent shootings.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Myers Police at 334-4155 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Police say you can remain anonymous, they just want the information.

Everybody now wants to be thug/goon. You have to hurt or kill somebody to establish some kind of name for yourself. If killing is so important to these people they need to be sent overseas and fight/kill for the safety of this country. It's all foolishness.

Personally, everyone is entitled to their opinion on what happen and how they feel about the situation. It's scary now that you have to watch your evry move and step in the community now, because you never know what will happen in the matter of seconds, and a bullet has no name or eyes to it.

Ppl are afraid to come forward b/c of retaliation. The police cant depend on the streets to give them there information all the time. half of the stories thats getting told are mixed and assumed information. Yeah blame the police and the economy! Because killing people and shooting innocent toddlers has everything to do with getting a job. No one wants to come forward? It has been this way for years and years and not just in Ft Myers. If it was one of their babies shot in the face you can bet that they would want someone to come forward. Things are getting so out of hand in Ft. Myers that I am so afraid to even visit. I haven't lived there in over 11 yrs. but the violence is so out of control until it's just rediculous. When the police try to do their job effectivly people cry harrassment, but when the violence get's out of control to them they all of a sudden cry for the cops. They need to stop crying and let the police do their job even if it's their relative. Remember, get the whole TRUE story before we react.
