Cut cable causes thousands to miss Super Bowl

By WINK News

Jackie Nyman says, "I can't believe it, why would anyone want to sabotage? What were they doing?! "

Bill and Jackie Nyman had just sat down to watch the biggest football game of the year when the TV suddenly went black.

Bill Nyman says, "At seven o' clock it just turned off, just static."

Deputies say someone sawed through the Comcast cable on the corner of east Terry Street and Bonita Grande Drive.
Comcast says around 2 thousand people total in the Naples and Bonita Springs area missed the game, ruining the night for hundreds of residents of Bentley Village.

Bill Nyman says, "It didn't really ruin it, but it put a spoiler on it, you know?"

Comcast was able to restore the cable at around a quarter to 2 in the morning, but by then it was obviously too late to watch the game.
