SWFL doctor helps coordinate Super Bowl half-time show

By WINK News

Pediatrician and WINK Contributor Dr. Annette MacKoul was one of more than a dozen volunteers who helped coordinate the Super Bowl XLIV halftime show.

Dr. MacKoul tells us this year's show was supposed to have the biggest stage, biggest staging area, pyrotechnics and lasers. Organizers talked about creating history, and she wanted to be a part of it.

"People don't realize there's 49 separate pieces that made up that stage. There were 600 volunteers to bring in those pieces. And 150-200 workers who were being paid to connect the electronics. It was a phenomenal process to watch."
