LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) - Walt Disney World is cracking down on rowdy teens and young adults at its Downtown Disney complex.
Additional Orange County deputies have been assigned to patrol the area. Officials say they are trying to head off a "ganglike presence" at Downtown Disney.
Deputies can question guests they suspect of being a problem. They can issue trespass warnings if a guest refuses to answer their questions, argues or refuses to leave.
Last weekend, 50 teens and young adults were banned from the complex for good. They face criminal charges if they return.
Officials say teens loitering in the Downtown Disney area became a problem in 2005 after Disney stopped charging an entry fee to the Pleasure Island nightclub complex.
