FORT MYERS, Fla. - Thieves break into a Fort Myers Shores home, steal video games, and turn on all the water faucets before they leave.
Deputies say an estimated thousands of dollars of damage was done to the home while water ran through the house all night.
Tenant Lloyd Sawyer says he was in the middle of moving his family out of the house earlier this week. They were out of the house by Tuesday. When Sawyer came back Wednesday morning, he noticed the damage.
Sawyer suspects kids broke in, since the only things missing were two XBOX video games."
"Seems odd to me, I had a radio controlled helicopter with a digital radio valued at over 600 dollars sitting on top of a gun safe that was in the house full of guns, they didn't mess with none of that."
Extensive damage was done to the walls and carpet. The garage ceiling collapsed and smashed some of the Sawyers' personal items.
