FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers firefighters battle an early morning blaze on Palm Beach Boulevard.
On Saturday, November 28, 2009, at approximately 3:40 am, the City of Fort Myers Fire Department received a call in reference to a structure fire at 3861 Palm Beach Boulevard.
Firefighters arrived on scene at 3:43 am.
Upon arrival, smoke could be seen coming from Anytime Auto Sales.
Firefighters quickly discovered that the office area was fully involved in fire.
Florida Power and Light was alerted to shut off power to the building.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire damage contained to the office, but there is heavy smoke damage throughout the building.
The fire was under control at 4:07 and out at 4:12.
At this time the fire is not considered suspicious, but an investigation will be done to determine the cause of origin.
The City of Fort Myers Fire Department had 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck and a Battalion Chief on scene.
