LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Lee County Sheriff's detectives continue their investigation into the death of 74 year old Everett Reeves.
Someone called deputies Thursday night to report finding Reeves dead in his east 10th Street home.
Friday afternoon deputies closed east 10th street between Roosevelt and Jefferson Avenue as they continued to scour the area for evidence.
Neighbors say Reeves was a nice man who seemed troubled. They say he seemed to be in a downward spiral since the death of his wife several years ago.
Many recount Reeves coming to them and begging for money.
Last July, Reeves was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, a felony.
If you have any information about the death of Everett Reeves, you are asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
