Wheels of Hope helps two SWFL families

By WINK News

Thanksgiving came early this year for two SWFL families plagued by hardship.

It's called Wheels of Hope, and it's a program designed to get people back on the road to a brighter future.

The first recipients? Rose and her son Ryan.

Rose lost her husband four years ago to a heart attack. Since then she's struggled to raise 3 kids and pay the bills.

Thanks to 50 local busineses she won't have to worry about car troubles anymore.

In addition to the cars, the families received one year's insurance paid and gas.

Kaila and her 3 year-old daughter have been riding a bike for six months, so having a car they say, is a huge blessing for the family.
