LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office is trying to find the person who killed a 74 year old Lehigh Acres man. Deputies say Everett Reeves was found dead inside his home on 2603 East 10th Street shortly after 7:00 pm Thursday night.
Investigators and crime scene technicians spent much of the night in the Reeves' home collecting clues. His family was notified shortly after his body was found.
"He was a quiet man," said neighbor Miguel Bates. "This is a quiet neighborhood, I would have never expected this here."
Deputies will not say how Reeves was murdered. They are asking anyone with information about this crime to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
