BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - An explosion at a Bonita Springs Utility Plant caused a fire at 4:00 Thursday afternoon.

The address near East Terry Street and I-75 on Wellfield Road.

There are four burn victims.

Three people have minor burns and inhalation injuries. One persons injuries are serious but not life threatening.

People were using a level indicating device to test the level of wastewater. They said for some reason there was an explosion.

The ignition happened when workers were checking the level of wastewater in the facility. It happened in a storage tank with waste in it.
