Mom arrested for driving car at teens

By WINK News

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A Cape Coral mother is in jail for allegedly trying to run down two teens with her car.

Police say Rachael Humes threatened the teens over a dispute with her kids.

"She has a lot of problems and everything but, she seems like just a real nice person," said neighbor Larry Trombley.

It happened near the intersection of NE 17Th Ave. and NE 2ND Street in Cape Coral.

Police say on October 23rd, Rachael Humes sped up in her car behind two teens who were on foot and swerved at the last moment. Then, she tried to back into them. The teens told police they had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.

Humes faces one count of aggravated assault.
