No body, no arrests and very little evidence.
For ten years this case has haunted investigators and the family of Pilar.
"Anyone who has seen my daughter. I want my daughter back," said Marco Rodriquez, Pilar's Father in a 1999 interview with WINK News.
In 1999, Marco Rodriguez made a desperate plea for the return of young daughter Pilar Rodriguez. Investigators say the four year old left her home in Hollywood, Florida for a two week vacation with her babysitter Melissa Cooper.
Pilar never returned.
Cooper says it was at a motel in Punta Gorda that her boyfriend Keith Wilson lost control.
In an 1999 interview with WINK News Melissa Cooper said, "It got out of hand and this time it really got out of hand"
Cooper says Wilson beat Pilar to death, stuffed her body in a bag and dumped it somewhere.
"He said he buried her that's all he told me," said Cooper.
Investigators searched for weeks through heavy brush, in area ponds and on horseback. But never did find a body or any significant physical evidence.
"She was a great little girl she didn't deserve the fate she got," said Cooper.
