FORT MYERS- Sunday the Fort Myers Police Department arrested 20 year old Edward Jackson Jr. for 2nd Degree Murder.

The charges stem from the murder of Colber Luster.

On October 14th Luster was fatally shot near Fort Myers Middle School at the intersection of Moreno Avenue and Central Avenue.

Detectives developed Jackson as a suspect and then received a tip that he was staying at the Golf View Motel located at 3523 Cleveland Avenue.

Sunday morning police surrounded the motel.

Jackson attempted to flee on foot out the back window but was taken into custody without incident.
