NAPLES-- Two women were critically injured Saturday evening after the car they were driving in was hit by another vehicle at the intersection of Golden Gate Parkway and Premier Drive at Naples Grande.
58 year old Carolyn Antilla had come to a stop in her 2002 Lexus before a stop sign on CR 886.
Antilla was facing north on the left side of the driveway access of Naples Grande Resort.
35 year old Laban Barnes Lebuff Jr. was driving eastbound in a 2002 Chevy Pickup on the center lane of CR 886 before the driveway access of Naples Grande Resort.
Lebuff turned right, exited the road and entered the south shoulder.
Lebuff's pickup frontend struck Antilla's Lexus on the left side.
The collision caused a temporary roadblock of eastbound CR 886.
Antilla and her passenger 59 year old Dianne Steinitz required transport to Lee Memorial Hospital via Med-Flight due to seriousness of their injuries.
Lebuff was treated for minor injuries at Naples Community Hospital.
Lebuff is charged with DUI (Drug Intoxication), DUI Serious Bodily injury, DUI Property Damage, Careless Driving, and no proof of insurance.
