Cape Coral, Fla - A child gets thrown out of a car in an accident Friday night in Cape Coral.
It happened at the intersection of Chiquita Boulevard and Gleason Parkway. Three people went to the hospital.
Two vehicles collided at Chiquita and Gleason.
Initial reports indicated a child was thrown from one vehicle on to the pavement. A Medflight helicopter transported the child to Lee Memorial Hospital's Trauma Center.
WINK News spotted seats from a white mini-van in the middle of the road. It's not known whether the child who was ejected was wearing a seat belt or proper child restraint.
Paramedics treated one woman at the scene, then decided to take her by ambulance to Lee Memorial Hospital.
Police blocked traffic for a couple of hours while investigators too measurements and pictures of the crash site.
WINK News stopped by Lee Memorial, where personnel contacted relatives of the crash victims in the emergency room. No one wanted to comment about what happened.
