Cape Coral Man turns himself in for the weekend murder of a teenager

By WINK News

A Cape Coral man is now facing murder charges for the weekend murder of a 17 year-old in Fort Myers.

Detectives tell WINK News 26 year-old Adeirean Nicholas Carey turned himself in last night in connection with the murder.

Back on June 6th The Lee County Sheriffs Office received a call in reference to a gunshot and glass breaking in the Pine Manor Community. When they arrived they found blood on a sidewalk in front of the window, and a Santiago laying in the grass nearby.

Detectives believe Carey shot Santiago through the window. Carey's 2001 Hyundai was parked in the backyard and contained marijuana packaged for street sale.

Carey now faces drug charges in addition to 2nd degree murder.
