CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office reports that a dozen DUI arrests were made over Memorial weekend in Charlotte County; three involving crashes, and three were second time DUI arrest offenders.

Charlotte County deputies say they arrested eight of the 12 for DUI while Punta Gorda Police had three, and FWC had one BUI/Boating Under Influence arrest.

Three of those arrested were from Punta Gorda, three from North Port, two from Englewood, one each from Deep Creek and Arcadia, and two out of state arrests from New Jersey and Michigan. Eight were male and four were female drivers.
