Boating Under the Influence operation scheduled for Saturday

FORT MYERS, Fla.
The Lee County Marine Law Enforcement Task Force will be conducting a Boating Under the Influence enforcement operation throughout Lee County on Saturday, May 16 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
The task force includes police departments from Cape Coral, Ft. Myers, Sanibel and Lee County Sheriff.
The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U. S. Coast Guard, Florida Wildlife Commission and Florida Department of Environmental Protection also are partners in the operation.
Marine units from the various law enforcement agencies will be patrolling the Caloosahatchee River, Matlacha Pass, San Carlos Bay, Estero Bay, Ft. Myers Beach, Pine Island Sound, Big Carlos Pass and other areas.
They will be looking for boaters driving under the influence as well as other boating violations.
