Woman in I-75 crash charged with DUI

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A Fort Myers woman has been charged with DUI after a single vehicle crash on I-75 near the exit for Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of I-75 at mile marker 138 at 1:07 early Tuesday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that Maria Tinajero, 19, was driving the 2008 Toyota when she lost control of the car and slammed into the guardrail.

The passenger of the vehicle was Paola Domingues, 29.

Maria Tinajero was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, but was later released.
