Lawyer for missing girl's grandparents quits

By The Associated Press

ORLANDO, Fla.(AP) - The lawyer for the parents of a Florida woman charged with the murder of her 3-year-old daughter has quit, saying only the jailed mother knows the truth.

Mark NeJame suggested in a statement Thursday some disagreements with George and Cindy Anthony and that there's little more he could do to help them in the search for their granddaughter Caylee.

Their daughter, Casey Anthony, is awaiting a January trial. Caylee disappeared in June but her body has not been found.

Casey Anthony said she left the girl with a babysitter, who has not been found.

Caylee's grandparents said she is still alive and will reveal sightings later this week, a family spokeswoman said. NeJame indicated he wished to follow all leads.

Calls to the Anthonys and NeJame were not immediately returned.
