Composite released in indecent exposure case

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Detectives investigating a reported sex crime are hoping someone will recognize a composite drawing of a suspect.

On Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 7:32 a.m., the Sheriff's Office received a call about a man who exposed himself to a female juvenile as she was walking to school. The incident occurred in North Fort Myers near Camellia Avenue and April Lane. The student immediately notified her parent.

The victim told detectives she was walking along the roadway when a red SUV stopped. The driver asked the teenaged victim to get in the vehicle, while exhibiting in a lewd manner. The victim ran to a nearby sidewalk and called her mother on a cell phone.

Detectives with the Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit have continued to investigate and the victim provided the following description to a forensic artist:
- White Male
- 35-42 years old
- Light brown hair cut short
- Average build (not fat, not skinny, not muscular)
- Baseball cap on backwards with "swirl" design, mostly red, but with other colors
- Unknown color T-shirt
