Person walks into traffic and killed

IMMOKALEE, Fla. - One person is dead after walking into traffic early Sunday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol tells WINK News, Danny Jefferson, 57 of Immokmalee was walking along the grass shoulder of State Road 29 just South of Lake Trafford Road in Immokalee when he suddenly stepped into traffic.

When Jefferson stepped into the road, a cadillac seville struck the him. The Jefferson was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash.
