EAST NAPLES, Fla. - Through these tough economic times, local homeless shelters are finding themselves without room for everyone.
At St. Matthew's House in East Naples, there's a waiting list to get in, as people you wouldn't even think of, now need help.
These days, St. Matthew's house is at 125% capacity.
Many of the people here were at one time working or middle class people who've lost jobs, and ultimately, their homes.
Chris Flemke and his children enjoy a meal together at the St. Matthews House in East Naples.
This has been their routine, since they were evicted from their home earlier this summer.
"The thought of it. I break down at times just thinking about it," Flemke says.
Heart problems kept him from holding down a steady job for the past year, leading to his family's eviction.
Now he's recovering from open heart surgery and looking for work.
Robert and Sherrir DeHart also ended up at the St. Matthew's House because of health problems, and the declining economy taking a toll on their aquarium business.
"At one point, I was making good money," Robert DeHart says.
For 13 years, the DeHarts lived in a home on a canal in Bonita Springs.
That's until code enforcement kicked them out last week because their water had been shut off.
"I would be lying if I said I didn't se the possibility of this happening, but I just didn't want to look at it. I didn't want to stop fighting," Robert DeHart says.
While he and his wife have been plagued with medical issues for the past ten years, the DeHarts say they always worked hard and managed to get by, until now, that is.
"You always think that its going to get better. You never think its going to get worse," Sherrie DeHart says.
For now, the DeHarts are thankful for the help they're getting at St. Matthew's House, as is Flemke, who says he's learned being homeless can happen to anyone.
"Don't think it can't," he says.

Also on the premises these children would be educated. I have drawn a projected image of how the shelter will look and have taken steps in finding the right piece of property. I am hopeing there is some types of funding from our goverments in helping care for these children once in place. Currently I have

And people are losing their jobs so they can't buy food, rent, houses mortages, gas, etc. That's so sad. And the more sad part is the GOVERMENT could have done something about that before it got out of hand. Now look where everyone is suffering and not just the AMERICA people but it's a WORLD-WIDE problem. What future does our children and our grandchildren have? Not a bright one I can tell you. They will have to pay for all this mess we all will.I don't faith in man I put faith in God.

It is starting to happen. America is falling apart piece by piece. Soon, all the rich, and the poor will be in the same boat. So, I ask America, bring more illegals over, give more to weapons of distruction overseas.
