SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - Ever wish you had sound financial advice, any time you need it...for free? You can, thanks to the internet. We found three websites, one for the beginner, one for the pro and one for everybody else.
Beginners should check out
mainstreet.com. You'll find articles written by experts, but in plain English. There is advice for every stage of your life. Our favorite feature is Goal planning. It takes you to
geezeo.com. It offers a step by step guide to reaching your goals, whether it's paying off credit cards or buying a house. It provides support from real people, too.
Now, for the financial pro... If you have technical questions go to main street's sister website,
thestreet.com. You'll find advanced information. It provides specific advice about stocks, investing and what's next for the American economy.
If you're somewhere in between "beginner" and "pro", check out
bankrate.com. It has easy to understand videos that tackle topics you care about. From how the Fed rate cut will effect you to balancing your checkbook. It also has useful money saving tips and a chance to win $100 if your tip is rated the best.
