Lemon Bay High returns to normal after bomb threat

CCSO: Lemon Bay high in Englewood returns to normal after bomb threat

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The Charlotte County Sheriff's School Resource Office at Lemon Bay High School in Englewood, received a report of a bomb threat at 1:19 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

According to CCSO Watch Commander Lt. Brian Harrison, the school was evacuated in an orderly prescribed manner and multiple units responded. The school was searched and nothing was found.

The all clear was given at 2:37 p.m. and students returned to their classrooms for a short time before being dismissed for the day. CCSO detectives remain on scene doing their investigation concerning the bomb hoax. The high school will return to normal classes tomorrow.
