By WINK News

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - More people are in need of shelter following more evacuations in Bonita Springs. Sheet flow continues to cause flooding. As of Wednesday morning, 424 people are staying at the Estero Community Center.

Many of the people left their homes with only a couple of days worth of clothing, their children are without clothing.

Heidi Ruster with the Red Cross says it's unclear when the families will be able to go back to their homes, if at all.

WINK News is partnering with the Red Cross, Latino 97.7, WINK 96.9, and the Salvation Army to help the flood victims.

The Red Cross says families are in need of clothing, shoes, school supplies, and games/activities for the children. Any donation can be dropped off at the Estero Community Center on Corkscrew, just east of Three Oaks Parkway, the entrance is on the south side of the street. The Salvation Army will be accepting donations from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
