UPDATE: 4 grow houses go down in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit takes down four marijuana grow houses in Lehigh Acres during a day long operation on Thursday.

Detectives say they followed several leads, resulting in six arrests and the seizure of $478,000 worth of marijuana.

Thursday's takedowns mark 44 grow house busts so far this year by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, which includes 48 arrests and more than $6.3 million worth of pot being removed from the street.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the houses were at:

*2610 East 5th Street, (22 marijuana plants seized)
Arrested: Jose Avila, DOB 8-29-63

*2310 23rd Street Southwest, where 85 plants seized,
Arrested: Adrian Borjes, DOB 3-22-77

*737 Sunrise (84 plants seized)
Arrested: Alexis Alvelo DOB 6-26-84 and Oleidis Mendez DOB 6-16-71

*1507 Calvin Avenue (59 plants seized)
Arrested: Santa Aide Mota Fuentes, DOB 11-22-60 and Roberto Cardenas DOB 9-30-64

All are being charged with cultivating marijuana, marijuana trafficking, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
