FIRST ON WINK: One-year-old and two-year-old burned when firework shot into car

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A one-year-old and two-year-old received serious burns late on the Fourth of July from a firework shot into a car. It's a story you first saw on WINK.

Fort Myers Police tell WINK News just before 10:30 in the evening they received a call saying two children were injured by a firework.

It happened near the corner of Maryland Avenue and Dale Street.

The witness say a firework was shot into a vehicle which the one-year old and two-year old were riding.

Police say they are searching for the individual or individuals responsible for the crime.
