UPDATE: Shooting inside Lakeland mall

Police: 1 wounded at shooting inside Lakeland mall

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - Police say one man has been wounded in a shooting inside the Lakeland Square mall.

Lakeland police spokesman Jack Gillen says shots were fired at about 3 p.m. Tuesday inside the mall near the area of the food court. The victim, 18-year-old Andre Maurice Warner, was taken to a hospital. He was in stable condition.

Witnesses say four suspects - two males and two females - believed to be involved in the shooting fled the area. Officers were searching the stores in the area of the mall where the shooting occurred. Police have not determined a motive for the shooting.

No one else was injured. Gillen says the mall remains open.
