Four fires burning in Fort Myers home

By WINK News

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A warning for home owners in Lee County: fire investigators need help catching an arsonist.

Shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday morning, firefighters responded to a call on Figueroa, and found heavy smoke spewing from the home.

When they went inside, they discovered four small fires burning. They think they were intentionally set. No one was home at the time. The fire marshall says this arsonist puts people's lives at risk.

Ted Ross, the Fire Marshall of the Tice Fire Department, said, "There's someone out there that actually did that and it jeopardizes a lot of people. Not only the lives of the firefighters, but of all the first responders and also the people in the surrounding neighborhood."

If you know anything about this fire, you can call 1-877-622-7766.

A cash reward is being offered.
