Man lit himself on fire because his girlfriend wouldn't have sex with him

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Getting turned down for sex lead a man to set himself on fire. It happened at a home in Lehigh Acres.
The victim's girlfriend told investigators that 41-year-old Robert Costa pushed her out of the house and broke her cell phone.
Deputies then believe he took some prescription pain killers, poured gasoline on himself and lit himself on fire. The house he rents at 506 Corinne Drive also caught fire.
His girlfriend drove to the nearest fire station to get help.
Costa was air lifted to Tampa General Hospital with second degree burns over 75-percent of his body.

This man, who I was raised with, had many problems, including a mental illness which is a disease, not cause for ridiculous wise cracks. What if this were your son? Your brother? This is a tragedy in every possibly way. He's fighting for his life. Maybe if the US had better healthcare, and took mental health issues seriously, tragedies like this could be avoided. He couldn't afford his medication or treatment. Lay off, this guy and his family have been through enough.

What really happened was Robert Costa wanted his girl friend to dress up as Hillary while he dressed up as Obama.. Which she was ok with this until she learned that He wanted to give it to her in the back door and video it for youtube.. That is when she said no.. I hope the girl maintains her self respect. Sex should never be deemed necessary. They were not married. The man lacks morals and lacked respect for his girlfriend. Somehow he thought being masochistic would cause some kind of reaction. If he survives, he needs help.
