Hulk Hogan's son in jail for crash that critically injured a friend

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Hulk Hogan's 17-year-old son is in a Florida jail.

Nick Bollea was sentenced to eight months behind bars after he pleaded no contest to causing a crash that critically injured his friend. He will also serve five years of probation and not be able to drive for three years.

The injured friend's family has filed a civil suit against Bollea's parents, saying they're liable for their son's actions. The friend's mother says "speeding to Nick was a badge of honor."

Bollea's mom says her family is dealing with a void that can't be filled.

I have no sympathy for Nick, he chose to drink underage and drive, he should be so lucky hes not the kid who will suffer for the rest of his life! I feel that Nick got off pretty lienant, if it was one of us we would have had a much tougher sentence.

Been a fan of the Hulkster for many years even owned the workout set. I do feel thst he should continue taking the situation as it comes. Good luck to you nick. I know your friend was injured,but he will be alright. This is al that should matter nothing else. The kids alive and thats a blessing.

the best think that hulk hogan and his wife can do at this point is to let their son be a man,take his medicine and grow up. he got off alot easier than his friend did. he will be molly coddled in jail as well,and when he gets out ,they will welcome him like a hero,as if he was a prisoner of war. sickening how these folks raise their monsters. lets hope that he does some hard time with no extras or good behavior time. bottom line is ,he endanged the public as well as himself and his friend.
